Paper Bridge Counseling
Welcome, this is a space where you can show up just as you are, without judgment or expectation. Whether you're navigating a life transition, carrying old wounds, or simply feeling stuck, you don’t have to face it alone. At Paper Bridge, your story matters. Together we will build a path toward healing, connection, and a deeper sense of yourself.

Samantha Todd
My name is Samantha Todd, and I’m a Licensed Clinical Social Worker based in Indianapolis, Indiana. I earned my Master of Social Work from IUPUI. I work with individuals navigating life transitions, depression, anxiety, trauma, and grief. In our sessions, I take an eclectic approach to meet your individual needs. I utilize parts work (IFS), EMDR, and strengths-based practices along with humor and my own humanness to create a space that feels genuine, supportive, and collaborative.
Outside of the office I recharge by reading (ask me about my current read!) or crocheting and knitting (when my hands cooperate). I'm currently training for a half-marathon. Additionally, I enjoy spending quality time with friends and family.

Services offered: one-on-one counseling
In this space we will get to know each other, collaborate on your goals, and move towards healing. Whether you have been in therapy before or seeking services for the first time, it’s an honor to get to work with you.
Counseling sessions are 50 minutes long. Depending on your needs, we may meet weekly, biweekly, or move to monthly sessions once you’ve reached a maintenance phase. Currently, appointments are available virtually or as walk-and-talk sessions for those located in the Indianapolis area. Sessions are currently offered in the evenings on weekdays.
At this time I only work with individuals age 18+. I do not work with couples, families, or youth.

The story behind the name
Paper Bridge Counseling was inspired by one of my favorite books, People of Paper by Salvador Plascencia, which I read during a time marked by heartache, loss, and uncertainty. In the story, paper represents both fragility and strength — a reminder that even the most delicate things can carry great resilience.
I chose the name Paper Bridge because it reflects not only the healing process, but also the power of relationships in that process. Just like a paper bridge, therapy is created with care and vulnerability, yet it has the strength to carry us across life’s hardest moments. Healing often unfolds within connection — the kind that helps us feel seen, supported, and capable of moving forward. In our work together, we’ll create space for growth, hope, and self-understanding, empowering you to eventually transition beyond therapy with confidence.
