Welcome to Paper Bridge
Whether you're navigating a life transition, carrying old wounds, or simply feeling stuck, you don’t have to face it alone. My goal is to help you get to a place where you feel grounded, resilient, and fully equipped to manage life on your own, so that therapy becomes something you no longer need.
Meet your therapist
Samantha Todd
I’m Sam, a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in Indianapolis. My typical clients are college students and young adult women navigating:
- trauma
- depression
- self-esteem
- anxiety
- grief
- life transitions
I bring humor, honesty, and my own humanness to our sessions creating a real, supportive, and collaborative space.
My Core Philosophy & Approach:
I believe you are resilient and capable of navigating life’s challenges. Therapy with me is a partnership where we explore your story in a non judgemental space, uncover your strengths, and build practical tools you can carry into daily life. I use an eclectic approach with evidence-based practices, including parts work (IFS), EMDR, somatic techniques, and strengths-based strategies, tailored to your unique needs.
If you’re ready to take the next step, reach out today. Let’s start working together to create a plan that fits your life and helps you feel more capable, supported, and confident in moving forward.
Services offered: one-on-one counseling
In this space we will get to know each other, collaborate on your goals, and move towards healing. Whether you have been in therapy before or seeking services for the first time, it’s an honor to get to work with you.
Counseling sessions are 50 minutes long. Depending on your needs, we may meet weekly, biweekly, or move to monthly sessions once you’ve reached a maintenance phase. Currently, appointments are available virtually. Sessions are currently offered in the evenings on weekdays.
At this time I only work with individuals age 18+. I do not work with couples, families, or youth.
The story behind the name
Paper Bridge Counseling was inspired by one of my favorite books, The People of Paper by Salvador Plascencia, which I read during a time marked by heartache, loss, and uncertainty. In the story, paper represents both fragility and strength a reminder that even the most delicate things can carry great resilience. I chose the name Paper Bridge because it reflects not only the healing process that occurs in therapy, but also the power of relationships in that process. Just like a paper bridge, therapy is created with care and vulnerability, yet it has the strength to carry us across life’s hardest moments. In our work together, we’ll create space for growth, hope, and self-understanding. Empowering you to continue beyond therapy with confidence.
